I have been interested in computers since learning to write BASIC programs on Apple IIc computers when I was 8. After playing with our Apple, the TI-92 and the ColecoVision Adam, we bought a used gateway 386 with 4 megabytes of RAM and a Racal Vadic 300/1200 baud modem. I used to download games from the "Crown Jewel", a bulletin board (these were the pre-internet days). The games were so big and detailed that they took up almost an entire floppy disk! After I watched my brother assemble his first home-built computer, I got more and more interested in computers.
My experience with computers extends from hardware troubleshooting and installation to enterprise network administration and IP telephony. Today I work with computers both professionally and as a hobbyist. I feel fortunate that I have been able to turn something I enjoy into a career. I work for the State of Florida and I am also a co-founder and officer of a small business.
